View of the City

It seems like the hardest part of writing fiction is the setting. In a fantasy world, imagination is about the only tool a writer needs to come up with whole continents, but stories set in modern days, or even the future? That can get a little trickier.

What I like to do is Google random city skylines, find several different pictures I like, and layer them together, usually using something like fotoflexer.com. It’s fast an easy, and I end up with a picture to go off. I guess it’s more helpful if you’re a visual person like I am though.
